Sessions can be targeted to rebuilding families, improving communication, strengthening marriages, dealing with children with as-risk behavior, understanding the dynamics of extended families, or help families deal with divorce, loss of family members, or critical illness. This is a seven-week program specifically developed for teens. In Front of the Herd develops the skills needed by young people to become leaders that others will follow.
It has been said that; if we teach our youth to be leaders, they learn to make wise decisions and not follow others making poor decisions.
The sessions are 1 hour in length and during that time the Facilitator will guide the students through the workbook provided. The student receives a new book each week that allows them to fully participate in the program, and to retain for future referencing.
Over the seven weeks, the topics discussed include:
Effective Leadership, Character, Trust & Respect, Relationships, Influence, and Change.
Based on Roberts Rules of Order and ideas from Toastmasters, the participants learn to chair a meeting, present speeches, give short ad-lib talks, as well as participating in the discussions on the relevant topic of the week.
Parents reported the change in their teens after taking this course was amazing. Their interactions, confidence and judgement were greatly improved.
This is a six-week program for adults who desire change in their lives. Each session is 1 hour in length and includes homework that encourages reflection.
Life is a journey. How we travel through life, and the paths we take, are choices each of us must make for ourselves. Not one can force the choice upon us, no one can chose for us, and no one can relieve us of the responsibility of making that choice.
Trail of the Heart is a program based on the certain knowledge that you have within your every skill, attitude, quality, and characteristic needed to succeed in life and to create for yourself an incredible future.
The program is modeled after the travels of yesteryear. In olden days, a traveler felt drawn to new and exciting destinations, dissatisfied with where they were in life and the desire to have something better. Like the journeys of our ancestors, when one leg of the journey is complete, you construct a camp.
There are six camps, each building on the previous camp until you reach your destination. You will receive a booklet for each camp with questions, discussion topics and some take home thoughts to ponder.
Participants have reported that, after taking the program, they were finally able to move forward, establish and reach their goals. “Life changing” is one of the common comments shared by participants.
Future leaders will work with horses and their teammates to achieve their goals which we then link to their own experiences at school, home and in the community.
Imagine a learning program that kids are excited to attend. A program that delivers results through experiences, unforgettable experiences with horses. A program designed to support and deliver on the youth development goals of your school, association or youth group.
Non-verbal communication, assertiveness, creative thinking, leadership, responsibility, confidence and team work are several examples of the skills students will develop to help them recognize and demonstrate exemplary leadership qualities.
All Programs Include:
